Bashair Obaid wins triple jump gold in GCC Women’s Games

Kuwait City: Bashair Obaid won gold in the triple jump and Maryam Farid took silver in the 400m hurdles as Qatari athletes shone in the 6th GCC Women’s Games in Kuwait City on Monday.

Earlier on Sunday, Sarah Masoud claimed the gold medal of discus throw event for people with special needs.

Alaa Riyad took the bronze medal of 100m hurdles event while Rima Fareed clinched the silver in long jump. Sarah Al Manai grabbed the silver of Javelin throw event.

Qatar dominated in table tennis as Aya Magdi claimed the gold medal while compatriot Maha Flamerzi finished second.

Aya Magdi also teamed up with Maha Flamerzi to take silver in doubles event while Qatar's Kholoud Ismael and Maha Ali clinched the bronze medal.
