Tuchel slams referees after England survive Mexico thriller

MEXICO: England survived a dramatic 3-2 win over Mexico at the Azteca Stadium, despite being reduced to 10 men and conceding a controversial penalty.
Jude Bellingham’s quick-fire double gave England a 2-0 lead before Mexico pulled one back through Julian Quinones. The game turned in the second half when Jarell Quansah was sent off after a VAR review, though pundits agreed it was a clear red card.
Harry Kane later restored England’s two-goal cushion from the penalty spot, but Mexico responded with a penalty of their own after Kane was judged to have clipped Brian Gutierrez.
Thomas Tuchel strongly criticised the officials after the match, saying the refereeing was “just not good enough,” while former officials and pundits felt the major decisions were correct.
