Top stars for Qatar Classic squash

Doha: Top stars including World No.1 Gregory Gaultier of France and defending Karim Abdel Gawad of Egypt will be in action at the 2017 edition of Qatar Classic to be held in Doha from October 29 to November 3.
Three of the other top five players — 2016 runner-up Mohamed El Shorbagy of Egypt, compatriot Ali Farag, and Britain’s Nick Mathew will also compete in the $165,000 prize money-event to be held at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex, Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF).
Marwan El Shorbagy (world number 6), James Willstrop (7), Tarek Momen (8), Fares Dessouky (9) and New Zealand’s Paul Coll (10) are also certain to take part in the championship while
Abdulla Al Tamimi, ranked 42 in the world, will lead Qatar’s challenge.
The winner in Doha will take home $24, 225 while the runners-up will be richer by $14,820.
