Aspire Academy squash juniors shine at Hungarian Open

Doha: Aspire Academy student-athletes produced amazing results at the Hungarian Junior Squash Open, a prestigious Grand Prix tournament on the European junior circuit.
Out of 11 competitors who took part in the competition in Budapest from October 14 to 16, seven reached the top eight in their respective age groups, three entered the finals and one won the title.
Yousef Essam Farrag, a grade seven student-athlete at the academy, excelled in his first European appearance, winning the Under-13 category. Farrag upset the first and third seeds in the early stages of the tournament before taking down the second seed in a tight match to claim his first international title.
In the U-17 category, 11th grader Rashid Al Harib toppled the second, fifth and third seeds before settling for the third place while Mohamed Ouda, an eighth-grader, finished second.
In the U-19 category, Hamad Al-Amri reached the semifinal.
