Qatari junior women win bronze in skeet at Asian shooting

Doha, Qatar: North Korea’s Kim Song Guk set a new world record as she won gold in the 10m air pistol to book an Olympic quota, at the 14th Asian Shooting Championships at Losail Shooting Complex on Monday.

Guk scored 246.5 points to break Saurabh Chaudhary's previous mark and in the process pushed the Indian to second with 244.5.

Javad Foroughi of Iran took bronze on 221.8.

Meanwhile, Qatar junior women’s team comprising Fatima Saeed Al Muraikhi, Ghalia Ali Al Malki and Amna Ali Al Shirawi claimed bronze in skeet with a total of 250.

China won gold (339) while India came second (309).
