Qatar secures third bronze at Asian Shooting Championship with mixed skeet medal

ASTANA: The Qatari shooting team continued their impressive run at the 16th Asian Shooting Championship in Kazakhstan, clinching a bronze medal in the mixed skeet competition on Friday.

The duo of Ali Al Ishaq and Sarah Ghulam showcased remarkable coordination and skill to secure third place after a hard-fought contest against strong contenders from China, Kazakhstan, Korea, India, and Kuwait.

This latest bronze marks Qatar’s third medal of the tournament. Ali Ahmed Al Ishaq had earlier won bronze in the men’s individual skeet, while the men’s team skeet squad—comprising Mohammed Al Kuwari, Rashid Saleh Al Athba, and Al Ishaq—also claimed third place.

The championship runs until August 30, with Qatar aiming to add to their growing medal tally.(QNA)
