Qatar clinches double bronze in skeet at Asian Shooting Championshi

ASTANA: The Qatari shooting team celebrated a proud moment at the 16th Asian Shooting Championship in Kazakhstan, securing two bronze medals in the men’s skeet events—both individual and team. The championship, which runs until August 30, has drawn top marksmen from across the continent.
Shooter Ali Ahmed Al Ishaq shone in the individual skeet category, claiming bronze and marking his first podium finish at the Asian level. Al Ishaq also played a key role in the team event, where he joined forces with Mohamed Al Kuwari and Rashid Saleh Al Athba to earn another bronze for Qatar.
Led by President of the Shotgun Team Ahmed Mubarak Al Kuwari and Team Manager Nawal Al Sulaiti, Qatar’s 23-member squad included prominent names such as Khalid Rashid Al Muhannadi, Hajar and Sara Ghulam Al Mohammed, and international shooter Ray Bassil.
QSAA Secretary General Jassim Shaheen Al Sulaiti praised the achievement as a “double triumph” for Qatari shooting, emphasizing the strength, unity, and rising potential of the national team on the Asian stage.
