DOHA: The Qatar Stars League (QSL) has announced the schedule for the rescheduled Qatar Cup 2026, with the tournament featuring the top four teams from the 2025-26 Doha Bank Stars League season.
Champions Al Sadd will face Al Gharafa in one semifinal at Khalifa International Stadium on Sept. 1, while Al Shamal will meet Al Rayyan at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The final is scheduled for Dec. 11 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Al Sadd, Al Shamal, Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa earned their places in the competition after finishing among the top four in last season’s league standings.
The Qatar Cup was originally scheduled as part of the 2025-26 season but was subsequently postponed, with the QSL confirming the revised dates for the 2026 edition.
Under the tournament regulations, any semifinal or final that remains level after 90 minutes will be decided by a penalty shootout.
The competition provides the four leading domestic sides with another opportunity to compete for silverware ahead of the new football season.
