Al Shamal, Qatar SC coaches eye crucial win ahead of Week 17 clash

DOHA: Al Shamal coach David Prats and Qatar SC coach Marquez Lopez addressed the media ahead of their postponed Week 17 clash in the 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League, scheduled for Monday.

Prats acknowledged the challenge ahead, saying his side expects a tough contest against a strong opponent.

“We are expecting a tough match against a very good team with top-level players who have delivered outstanding performances throughout the season,” he said during the pre-match press conference.

He stressed that Al Shamal’s focus remains clear: “We will play with one goal in mind — to win and secure the three points to maintain our chances in the competition.”

Reflecting on their previous defeat, Prats added, “We are looking to make up for the loss we suffered in our last match against Al Shahania.”

Qatar SC coach Marquez Lopez also highlighted the importance of the fixture, stating, “We have an important and difficult match ahead of us against Al Shamal, and we are looking forward to giving our best to secure the victory and claim the three points.”
