DOHA: The Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) are leaving no stone unturned to ensure safety and precaution are in place as it gets ready to host the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour from Tuesday (Feb 23).
Lebanon, Poland, Russia and the USA America have arrived in Doha and entered the medical bubble allocated to them in the Ezdan Hotel West Bay, QVA said on their website.
A total of 26 teams from 15 countries will compete in the four-day event at the Al Gharafa Club beach volleyball courts.
The teams were received upon their arrival at Hamad International Airport, where the medical swab was conducted for the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The teams then went directly to the residence hotel, from where the teams entered the “medical bubble”.
The precautionary measures taken by the Ministry of Public Health and the International Beach Volleyball Federation will be implemented in accordance with the approved medical protocol, including the obligation to wear masks, sterilize the stadium and balls before training and matches besides maintaining social distance.
