Qatar claim second straight win at West Asia Beach Volleyball Tour

JORDAN: Qatar’s men’s beach volleyball team continued its unbeaten start to the inaugural West Asia Beach Volleyball Tour with a 2-1 victory over Iraq in Jordan on Tuesday, securing a second consecutive win in the tournament.
Represented by Musa Al Khair and Mohammed Ehab, Qatar recovered from a slow start to overcome Iraq in a closely contested match. The Qatari pair dropped the opening set 15-21 before responding emphatically to level the contest with a 21-11 win in the second set.
They carried that momentum into the deciding set, dominating from the outset to complete a 15-5 victory and preserve their perfect record in the competition.
The win follows Qatar’s commanding opening-round performance against Saudi Arabia, where Al Khair and Ehab cruised to a straight-sets victory, winning 25-13, 21-10.
Qatar’s back-to-back victories leave the team well placed as it continues its campaign in the inaugural regional tournament, which has brought together some of West Asia’s leading beach volleyball teams in Jordan.
