Police volleyball team leave for Kuwait for Gulf Championship

Doha, Qatar: The Police volleyball team left Doha on Saturday for Kuwait to participate in the 37th edition of the Gulf Volleyball Clubs Championship, to be held from February 2 to 11.

Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia. Al Ain of the UAE, Bahrain's Dar Kulaib, Oman's Al Seib, and hosts Kuwait are the other teams in the championships.

The police mission includes Adnan Al Hitmi, the head of the volleyball, as head of the mission, Rashid Mahmoud Al Abdullah as team manager, and Mohamed Adam as the team's administrator, besides the members of the technical staff of the team led by Argentine Damien Aridondo.

The players are Joseph Porslav, Salami Moses, Mahmoud Essam, John Shigbo, Muhammad Ismail, Jojo Nito, Naji Mahmoud, Nader Abu Bakr, Youssef Aghlaf, Danes Al Maslamani, Muhammad Ismail Abdullah, Wollner Enrique and Othman Abdul Wahid.

Police will play their first game against defending champions Dar Kulaib on Tuesday. They will take on Kuwaiti team on Wednesday, Al Ain on Friday and Al Seeb on Saturday.
