‘Arabi-Rayyan final is regular feature’

AL ARABI vs Al Rayyan match has more or less been a regular feature in the Qatar Cup finals. 

In the 27 editions held so far, Arabi and Rayyan have fought against each other 17 times. 

Last year was an aberration, with Rayyan taking on surprise finalists El Jaish.

But with Arabi and Rayyan being back for the title clash this time, there was a feeling of deja vu all over again at the Qatar Women’s Sport Committee Hall and Qatar Volleyball Association President Ali Ghanim Al Kuwari was quick to admit it.

“The Al Arabi vs Al Rayyan final is a regular feature in Qatar. Both are strong and balanced teams, technically and game-wise. To have them back for the Qatar Cup final was a great advertisement for the game. The fact that these sides have won 25 of the 27 editions held so far shows how dominant they are,” said Ali Ghanim.
