All-Qatari showdown set in West Asia Beach Volleyball Tour semi-finals

AMMAN: The second edition of the West Asia Beach Volleyball Tour, currently underway in Jordan, is set for a thrilling all-Qatari semi-final clash as two national duos prepare to face each other for a place in the final.
The pairing of Mehdi Samoud and Mohamed Ehab will go head-to-head against fellow countrymen Mahmoud Essam and Saif Al Majid, guaranteeing Qatar a finalist in the regional tournament.
Essam and Al Majid have been dominant throughout the competition. After topping their group with wins over Kuwait’s Jassim Al Sabbagh and Abdulwahab (2–0) and Lebanon’s Paul Bou Akl and Charbel Khoury (2–1), they maintained their momentum in the quarter-finals. They defeated Saudi Arabia’s Deyaa Khawahr and Hassan Al Kaabi in straight sets, 21–12, 21–18.
Samoud and Ehab, meanwhile, advanced with a solid quarter-final performance of their own, beating Lebanon’s Bou Akl and Khoury 2–0 (21–15, 21–19). Despite suffering a narrow group-stage loss to the Saudi duo, they had earlier secured a crucial win over Kuwait’s Nawaf Al Rashidi and Ibrahim Ahmed.
With both Qatari teams showcasing strong form, the upcoming semi-final promises an intense battle for national pride and a coveted place in the final.
