Sinner, Sabalenka maintain top positions in world ranking
LONDON: Italian Jannik Sinner maintained his position at the top of the world rankings for professional tennis players, according to the list issued today by the Association of Tennis Professionals.
Sinner strengthened his position at the top of the rankings with 13,450 points, a comfortable lead over Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in second place with 8,160 points, while German Alexander Zverev dropped to third place with 8,120 points.
Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime came in fourth with 4740 points, Serbian Novak Djokovic fifth with 3760 points.
Russian Daniil Medvedev advanced to sixth place with 3620 points, Australian Alex de Minaur dropped to seventh place with 3560 points.
Italian Flavio Cobolli came in eighth with 3330 points, American Taylor Fritz ninth with 3230 points, while his fellow countryman Ben Shelton completed the top ten with 2680 points.
In the women’s rankings, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka maintained her top spot in the world rankings with 8550 points, ahead of Kazakh Elena Rybakina in second place with 8056 points, while American Jessica Pegula came in third with 6300 points.
Another American, Coco Gauff, came in fourth with 5649 points, followed by Russia’s Mira Andreeva in fifth place with 5293 points, then Czech Karolina Muchova in sixth place with 5168 points, and her compatriot Linda Noskova in seventh place with 5016 points.
Poland’s Iga Swiatek came in eighth place with 4539 points, followed by America’s Amanda Anisimova in ninth place with 4353 points, while Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina came in tenth place with 4351 points.
