Qatar’s Rashed Nawaf reigns supreme in GCC U-14 tennis

Doha, Qatar: Qatar’s Rashed Nawaf was in a class of his own as he won the boys under-14 title in the GCC Tennis Championships held in Oman.

In the final, Rashed defeated compatriot Meshari Nawaf 6-1, 6-1. Earlier Rashed had defeated Oman’s Marwan Al Khanjari 6-0, 6-0 in the semifinals.

In doubles, Rashed and Nasser Al Yafei defeated Meshari Nawaf and Ali Al Saadi in the final.

Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) Board Member Khalid Al Khelaifi, who is also the Chairman of National Teams Committee said that the federation was proud of the results achieved by the Qatari players.
