Qatar finish second in GCC tennis

Manama, Bahrain: Qatar's junior tennis team finished second at the GCC Tennis Championship for Under 14 and Under-18 held in Manama, Bahrain.

Qatari began their campaign with a 3-0 victory over hosts Bahrain on Monday then they defeated Oman 2-1 and Saudi Arabia 2-1 before going down fighting against Kuwait on Thursday.

Qatar's challenge at the championship was led by Nasser Al Yafei, Ali Saadi, Meshaal Al Khenji and Sultan Al Malki.

Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation congratulated the players on taking the second place lauding the level they have shown during the tournament.
