Billie Jean King Cup: Italy to face hosts China, USA draw Kazakhstan in quarter-finals

ROME: Holders Italy will take on hosts China in the quarter-finals of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, following Monday’s draw for the prestigious women’s team tournament set to be held in Shenzhen, China, this September.

Eighteen-time champions the United States have been paired with Kazakhstan, while Spain will face Ukraine in another intriguing last-eight tie. The final quarter-final will see Great Britain battle Japan, according to the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The ITF also confirmed that former world number two and Grand Slam winner Conchita Martinez will return as tournament director for the third straight year.
