Open water event proves a big hit

THE Open Water Championship turned out to be a huge success, with as many as 200 swimmers taking part in the competition at the Doha Corniche last week.

The event was held in 18-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45 and 46-50 age-group categories.

Qatar Swimming Association President Khaleel Al Jabir, General Secretary Ali Al Jabir and Board member Ahmad Al Neama attended the event.
