FINA Congress Doha: QSA president Khalil Al Jaber attends second FINA meeting

DOHA: Qatar Swimming Association (QSA) is all set to host the General Congress of International Swimming Federation (FINA) on June 5, 2021.
QSA president Khalil Al Jaber attended the second FINA meeting which focused on Doha’s preparations to host the Congress at Doha Sheraton Hotel.
The virtual meeting was the second one after the one that was held on the sidelines of the FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series (first leg) at Katara Beach on March 13.
The congress will elect new Bureau Members besides the other positions that include President, five vice-presidents, first vice-president, second vice-president and treasurer.
The FINA Congress will be one of the major events in the history of QSA, which has recently hosted the FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series.
Besides, Doha has hosted several top swimming competitions in the last one decade and will host the fifth leg of FINA Swimming World Cup 2021 from October 21-23.
The congress will be held according to the Ministry of Public Health precautionary measures.
In accordance with FINA Constitution C. 15, the General Congress is the highest authority of FINA and shall have the power to decide upon any matters arising in FINA.
