Qatar Rugby Committee will participate in 16th World Rugby General Assembly

DOHA: Qatar Rugby and Hockey Committee will participate in the 16th World Rugby General Assembly in Paris on Thursday.

Qatar’s participation in the World Rugby General Assembly is a first, following the Qatar Rugby and Hockey Committee’s full membership approval within the World Rugby after the annual meeting of the World Rugby Council held in May of 2023.

The World Rugby extended an invitation to the Qatari committee, represented by Youssef Jiham Al Kuwari, the committee’s president, who is expected to attend the World Rugby General Assembly.

The World Rugby General Assembly is held on the sidelines of the 10th edition of the 2023 Rugby World Cup hosted by France, coinciding with the centenary celebration of this sport’s invention. (QNA)
