Olympic triathlons cleared to proceed after Seine river water quality improves
PARIS: Organizers have given the green light for the Olympic women’s and men’s triathlons to go ahead on Wednesday, following recent water quality tests that showed lower levels of bacteria in the Seine River. This decision comes after a period of uncertainty caused by heavy rains that compromised the river’s water quality.
The men’s triathlon, originally scheduled for Tuesday, had to be postponed due to failed water quality tests. However, improved test results have now made it possible for the event to proceed, much to the relief of athletes, teams, and Paris authorities.
