Qatar Off-Road Championship Rd 2: Saudi Arabia’s Al Ghuneim wins honour in Moto 450cc

DOHA: Mishal A AlGhuneim of Saudi Arabia took the honour in Moto 450cc at the second round of Qatar Off-Road Championship at Alkharsaah on Saturday.

The two-day event was organised by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation.

Mohammed Al Balooshi of UAE, who topped in the first round, finished a poor eighth. But he still leads the overall standings with 33 points.

Qatar’s Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani took the honour in the over 450cc. He was followed by Jaco Anderson of South Africa and Abdulrahman Al Sheeb (QAT).

In the Quad category, first round winner Emiel Stuckens of Belgium once again maintained his superiority.  

The first three rounds will be Enduro (endurance) and the remaining three will be the Baja category.

The sixth and final round will offer double points to the participants.

In the overall classification after SS1, the team of Ahmed Al Kuwari and N Al Kuwari topped the list followed by Abdulla Al Khelaifi and A Al Jabri. Mohammed Ameer and S Santos are third on the table.
