Macary, Al Sahouti shine in Qatar Motorsports Academy’s End Season Off Road Race

Losail, Qatar: Eight-year-old French rider Nolann Macary won the Flat Track 70cc category at the End Season Off-Road Race organised by Qatar Motorsports Academy.
Macary completed the eight laps with a total time of 7:28.847 to finish 6.140s ahead of 12-year-old Malaysian rider Johann Ameer Zharfan.
Australian Jim Leo Nikitopoulos took the third place.
In the Flat Track 125cc, Qatari rider Hamad Al Sahouti was the winner. The 14-year-old completed the 12 laps in 9:09.848s. Saad Al Harqan, also of Qatar, came second while French rider Romeo Poure completed the podium.
Losail Circuit Sports Club Vice President and General Manager Khalid Al Remaihi and CEO Juan Baquero, and Qatar Motor Academy head Jose Luis Cardoso presented the trophies.
'I am very happy with the QMA End Season and glad to see that all the riders and their families enjoyed this amazing day and we saw a great improvement of all the children,” said Al Remaihi.
“All of them worked very hard during the season and we saw them competing for the first time in a race and enjoying it. I want to thanks Dorna Sports SL, Aspire and Ministry of Culture and Sport for their support in the Academy and I am looking forward next weekend to see more exciting races with the children in the On-Road Track. Also, I want to thank all the instructors for their great job and to all the families and friends that came to support the young riders,” he said.
Next weekend will see the QMA End Season On Road Race with three categories — Minimotard 70, Supermotard 125 and MiniGP 110 on April 26 and 27.
