‘I travel a lot, that keeps me fresh’

QATAR’S Mohamed Issa Abu Issa is set to make his four-wheel debut for X-Raid Mini at next month’s Dakar Rally. A fitness freak to the core, he recently launched the Ox-Fitness Lab, which offers a wide range of services including the most-sophisticated health and medical check system along with sports therapy services. The 26-year-old spoke about his interests.

Are you excited about switching from quads to cars in Dakar?

Yes, of course. It was my dream to do a Dakar  ever since I turned pro in the quad category. And having the backing of a team like X-Raid Mini will help my transition from quads to cars in a smooth manner.

Can you share the experience of flying an aeroplane at Ascot last year?

It was truly an amazing experience. Flying in the air at a breathtaking speed was really unbelievable! Given a chance, I would love to do it again. Who knows I may fly planes one day!

Are you interested in anything else?

I like water sports much. Wakeboarding, boating and fishing are some of the things which keep me engaged when I’m not driving. I travel a lot and that keeps me fresh.
