Gulf Radical Cup: Qatar to host 7th round at Losail Circuit Club

DOHA: The Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) in
cooperation with Losail Circuit Club will host the seventh round of the Gulf
Radical Cup (GRC) for cars. 

Qatar will host the last round on March 24, 25, 26 next year, the QMMF said in a press release on Thursday.

It also added that the federation is keen on developing the motorsports in Qatar and in the region as GRC is a regular event on their calendar.

Drivers will have the option to take part in a 3 hour private GRC test on Thursday followed by 30 minute free practice on Friday morning.

Friday will then see the Sprint Race qualifying session and two Sprint Races while Saturday will feature a qualifying session and the 45 minute Enduro Race.

“We’re honoured to host the seventh round of Gulf Radical Cup. It will be a new and exciting challenge for drivers and participants,” said Amro Al Hamad, QMMF CEO.

“By hosting this event is a part of federation’s keenness to promote and develop our motorsports racers. We welcome all the participants.”

The 2021-22 season will start on November 1 at Dubai Autodrome Circuit and end at Qatar’s Losail Circuit Club.

What distinguishes this season from other seasons is that it will include 21 races instead of 14 races. 7 rounds, each contains 31 races.

1st round: Dubai Autodrome: November 11, 2021
2nd round: Dubai Autodrome: December 2-4, 2021
3rd round: Yas Marina Circuit; January 20-22, 2022
4th round: Dubai Autodrome: February 3-5, 2022
5th round: Yas Marina Circuit: January 24-26, 2022
6th round: Dubai Autodrome: March 10-12, 2022
7th round: Losail Circuit Club: March 24-26, 2022
