Formula One’s top designer Newey to join Aston Martin in March next year
SILVERSTONE, England: Formula One’s legendary designer Adrian Newey will join Aston Martin as Managing Technical Partner on March 1 next year, the Silverstone-based team announced on Tuesday. The 65-year-old Briton, known for his unparalleled expertise in car design, will also become a shareholder in the team.
Newey, who announced in May that he was leaving Red Bull Racing to seek new challenges, brings with him a remarkable legacy. Over his illustrious career, cars designed by Newey have clinched 25 drivers’ and constructors’ championships for top teams like Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull.
His 2023 Red Bull car was particularly exceptional, setting a new standard in Formula One with 21 wins out of 22 races, making it the most dominant car in the sport’s history.
