Formula one to launch 2025 season with first-ever event at London’s O2 arena
LONDON: In an unprecedented move, Formula One will gather all ten teams and their drivers under one roof for a season launch event at London’s iconic O2 Arena on February 18, 2025. This celebration will mark the start of the world championship’s historic 75th season. The event, which will be open to fans and broadcast live, will feature additional entertainment in a two-hour extravaganza designed to unite the sport’s global fan base.
Tickets, priced from 58 to 113 pounds ($74 to $144), are set to go on sale starting November 15. Formula One CEO Stefano Domenicali expressed excitement over the upcoming event, saying, “For the first time we will bring together our fans, all 20 superstars of our sport, and some very special guests to officially kick off our new season and mark our 75th year of racing.”
Typically, teams launch their season individually, often unveiling new car liveries at their factories, in exclusive venues, or through virtual events. However, this combined event promises to be a unique celebration, giving fans a rare opportunity to see all their favorite drivers and teams together as they gear up for a milestone year.
