Bottas takes pole for Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Baku, Azerbaijan: Valtteri Bottas set a track record as he snatched pole for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix from Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in a crash-marred qualifying session on Saturday.

Behind the two Mercedes men came Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel who shares the second row for Sunday's race with Max Verstappen in a Red Bull.

Qualifying was delayed twice when first Robert Kubica crashed his Williams in Q1 then Charles Leclerc smashed his Ferrari into the same wall at Turn 8 on the tricky streets of Baku.
