Herbert, Li take honours in Pro-Am event at Education City Golf Course

Doha, Qatar: Frenchman Benjamin Herbert and China’s Haotong Li led their teams to victories at the Pro-Am competition held ahead of the European Tour Commercial Bank Qatar Masters at Education City Golf Course on Wednesday.

Herbert’s ECGC Corporate Invite team comprising Seren Gheorghe, Tom Harwood and John McGowan won the morning event.

Oman Open winner Valimaki’s team, known as Pro Sports Qatar, came second. 

In the afternoon batch, Li’s Education City Golf Club Member Qualifier team, which also included Naeem Nanji, Michael Maynard and Hanley Hilton, took the honours, finishing ahead of teams led by Paul Lawrie and Martin Kaymer.

Twenty-one teams each competed in morning and afternoon events.
