Tournament winners honoured

THE Qatar Rugby, Hockey and Cricket Federation (QRHCF) recently honoured the winners of Qatar Airways Tournament.

QRHCF President Yousef Jeham Al Kuwari presented trophies and medals to Premier Division’s joint-winners Al Feroz Youngsters and Galfar Al Misnad, Khetco (Division A), United Challengers (Division B) and Phanton C (Division C).

Qatar Airways Ticketing Operations Manager Ali Akbar Farabi and other QRHCF officials including Assistant General Secretary Eisa Ali A Ghanem, Operations Manager Manzoor Ahmed and Head of Domestic Cricket Gul Khan Jadoon were present on the occasion.

The Qatar national team, which emerged as International Cricket Council World League Division 1 Asian Zone champions and qualified for the main global structure, was also honoured.

“We thank Qatar Airways for supporting us to offer competitive opportunities and exposure to our players at various levels. This season was very significant for us in terms of international achievements. It’s a matter of great pride for us that we won the World League and advanced to the next division,” said Al Kuwari. DSP
