Qatar beat Bahrain to advance in ICC World Twenty20 Asia Qualifier

Doha: Qatar defeated Bahrain by five wickets, their fourth victory, to advance to the second round of the ICC World Twenty20 Asia Qualifier ‘A’ in Kuwait City on Thursday.

Put into bat, Bahrain made 112 for eight. Awais Malik was the most successful bowler for Qatar with figures of 3 for 23.

In reply, Qatar reached the target with plenty to spare as Zaheer Ibrahim scored an unbeaten 43. Inam-ul-Haq (16) and Kamran Khan (16) also came up with useful contributions.
