Play called off again in Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN: Continuing repair work on a saturated outfield abandoned play on the scheduled fourth day of the final Test between the West Indies and India at the Queen’s Park Oval here in Trinidad on Sunday.

Only 22 overs were bowled on the first day of the match as the West Indies reached 62 for 2. Not a single ball was bowled over the next two days because of the unfit state of the ground and despite continuous sunshine.

India lead the series 2-0, but must win the fourth Test if they are to avoid relinquishing their world number one status to arch rivals Pakistan.
