M Pallonji emerge champs

M Pallonji emerged as champions of QALCO cricket tournament for first-division teams last week.

In the final of the eight-team event played at the MIC Sports Complex in Mesaieed, M Pallonji defeated Asian Cricket Club by five wickets.

Electing to field, M Pallonji bowled out ACC for 78 runs in 12 overs. They then reached the target in 12 overs, losing only five wickets.

QALCO Operations Director Shahid Iqbal Chaudhry, who was the chief guest at the valedictory function, gave away the trophies.

Meanwhile, McDonalds clinched the same tournament’s second division title. They routed Ceylon Warriors by nine runs in the final.
