Gulf Lights beat Talib in Zaffran Cafe Cricket

Doha: Gulf Lights defeated Talib XII by 7 wickets in the inaugural match of the Zaffran Cafe Cricket Tournament at West Bay Cricket Complex.

Batting first, Talib XII were bowled out for 90 runs, with Feroz top-scoring with 24 runs including two sixes.

Captain Mohammed and Ibrahim were the pick of Gulf Lights bowlers, taking three wickets each.

In reply, Gulf Lights reached the target in 9.4 overs losing only four wickets. Adam smashed 25 runs in 11 balls with three sixes and a four while Baba made 22 including three sixes. Sabir and Mohammed scored 12 runs each.

Mohammed of Gulf Lights was adjudged the Man of the Match.

In the other matches, Oryx Challengers defeated IIS by nine wickets while Allianz B defeated McDonald by 17 runs.

Earlier, Zaffran Cafe Business Development Manager Siddiq Fahad inaugurated the tournament in the presence Qatar Veterans Cricket officials, players and match officials.
