Gulf Lights, Al Fardan post victories

Doha, Qatar: Gulf Lights defeated Milaha by three wickets in the inaugural match of the third Gulf Lights Cricket Tournament at the Losail Cricket Complex.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Milaha were bowled out for 80 runs in 19.1 overs with Vaibhav scoring 29 runs.
For Gulf Lights, Imran took three wickets for seven runs and Shafi claimed two.
Gulf Lights reached the target in 11.1 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Melvin top-scored with 28 runs and was adjudged the man of the match.
In another match, Al Fardan defeated Ceylon Warriors by four wickets.
Put in to bat, Ceylon Warriors scored 121 runs for the loss of seven wickets, thanks to useful contributions from Chandana (24 runs) and Pragash (16).
Shahbaz blasted 30 runs from just 12 balls as Al Fardan won in 10.2 overs losing seven wickets. Nehal scored 23 runs while Yasir was unbeaten on 22.
Al Fardan bowler Gazali, who took five wickets giving away just nine runs, was the man of the match.
Earlier, AR Sanaullah inaugurated the tournament in the presence of Qatar Veterans Cricket officials, players and match officials.
