Big win for Mumbai XII in CDC opener

Doha: Mumbai XII defeated CDC by 80 runs in the opening match of the 29th CDC cricket tournament 2018 at West Bay cricket ground.

Put in to bat, Mumbai XII scored a massive total 237 for six in 20 overs. Shariq hammered a 50 off just 16 balls. Shabab made 35 runs while Monty, Mudassir, and Adam scored 22 each.

For CDC, Jagdish took three wickets for 11 runs while Nishanta, Narda, Mahesh and Partha took two each.

In reply, CDC were all out for 157 runs in 17.1 overs.

Mohan took four wickets for 16 runs while Mohammed returned with three. Shabab of Mumbai XII was adjudged the man of the match. 

Earlier, CDC Business Development Manager Sanjiv Jain inaugurated the tournament.

In the other matches, Alliance edged Wellon CC by one wicket, M Pallonji defeated McDonald's by eight wickets, Ceylon Warriors thrashed Al Fardan by 63 runs, Doha Motors beat Jaidah Motors by seven runs QVC defeated Mic by seven wickets.
