BCCI shuts down Rohit’s retirement speculation ahead of Lord’s ODI

NEW DELHI: BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has dismissed speculation that India’s third and final ODI against England at Lord’s will be Rohit Sharma’s last appearance in the format.

Reports suggesting the series decider could mark the 39-year-old captain’s farewell had triggered widespread retirement rumours on social media.

However, Saikia clarified that Rohit has no plans to retire from ODI cricket and will continue representing India for as long as he remains part of the team’s plans.
