Barwa’s Amaan impresses in T20 series against Omani side

Doha: Barwa Cricket Club’s Amaan Khan was adjudged the best batsman in their recent Under-15 Twenty20 series played against Bosher Olympic Centre, Oman, at the Al Khor Workers Sports Complex.

Though the Qatari side lost all three matches, it was an invaluable learning experience for the team from Barwa city.

In the first match, Bosher, who opt to bat first, made 165 while Barwa were all out for 154. In the second match, Bosher chased down the target of 123 with 2.4 overs to spare while in the third the Omani side made 155 and restricted their opponents to 132.

Narayana Satish of Bosher, who took six wickets in total, was the best bowler of the series while Amaan Khan of Barwa was adjudged the best batsman. Amaan and Satish shared the man of the series award.
