Bangladesh cricket team to arrive early in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Saturday that the Bangladesh senior cricket team will arrive in Pakistan on August 13 to prepare for their upcoming two-match Test series. The decision comes after political unrest in Bangladesh disrupted the team’s preparations at home. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has accepted the PCB’s invitation, allowing the series, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship, to proceed as scheduled.

The first Test match is set to take place in Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25, followed by the second match in Karachi between August 30 and September 3.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer expressed his satisfaction with the BCB’s decision, stating, “Sports is not only about winning and losing, it’s also about camaraderie. I remain confident that the extra training sessions in Lahore will allow the (Bangladesh) players to showcase their skills and talent on the global stage.”(NDTV Sports)
