Asian Cup Basketball Qualifiers: Technical meeting for Qatar-Iran match held

DOHA: The technical meeting for the match between the Qatari national team and its Iranian counterpart was held on Sunday evening within the second window of the Group 5 competitions in the double qualifiers for the Asian qualifiers for Saudi 2025 Asian Cup Finals, which will be held in Jeddah, and the 2027 World Cup, which will be hosted by Doha.
The meeting was attended by QBF Secretary General Saadoun Sabah Al Kuwari, the Turkish coach of the Qatari national team, Hakan Demir, and the coach of the Iranian national team, in addition to representatives of the refereeing staff and organizers. During the meeting, all technical and administrative arrangements for the match were discussed, as it was agreed that the Qatari national team will wear the full maroon uniform, while the Iranian national team will wear the full white uniform.
The Qatari national basketball team are preparing to play a decisive match against its Iranian counterpart on Monday evening at the Al Gharafa Club covered hall, amid great expectations from the Qatari public to support the team in this important match.
This match is a crucial stage for both teams in their journey towards qualifying for the 2025 Asian Cup, as the Qatari team seeks to achieve victory and strengthen its position in the general standings of Group Five, which is led by the Iranian team with a full score of 6 points, followed by the Kazakh team with 4 points, equal to the Qatari team in third place, while the Indian team comes in fourth and last place with 3 points.
