Siakam leads Pacers to impressive victory, even series against Bucks

WISCONSIN: In a commanding performance, Pascal Siakam showcased his prowess with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists, leading the Indiana Pacers to a resounding 125-108 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 of their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series. The win not only showcased Siakam’s brilliance but also marked a significant milestone for the Pacers, who snapped a 10-game postseason losing streak dating back to 2018.
Joining Siakam in the spotlight was Myles Turner, who contributed 22 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three blocked shots, solidifying the Pacers’ dominance on both ends of the court. The supporting cast also stepped up, with Andrew Nembhard scoring 20 points, Tyrese Haliburton registering 12 points and 12 assists, and Aaron Nesmith adding 11 points and seven assists. Together, they orchestrated a seamless offensive display, tallying an impressive 38 assists on 50 made baskets.
Speaking after the game, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle commended his team’s tenacity, emphasizing their enhanced aggression and composure throughout the contest. “We played with more force and we played with more attitude,” Carlisle stated, highlighting the team’s resilience in overcoming tough stretches. He emphasized the long road ahead, acknowledging the series’ competitive nature.
The first half belonged to Siakam, who ignited the Pacers’ offense with 21 points, propelling them to a narrow 60-55 lead at halftime. Despite Damian Lillard’s impressive performance for the Bucks, scoring 26 points with six three-pointers in the half, the Pacers maintained their composure and executed their game plan effectively.
