Qatar squad announced for Jordan International Championship

Doha: The technical staff of the Qatari basketball team, led by Turkish coach Hakan Demir, has announced the list of players who will participate in the King Abdullah II International Basketball Cup, which will be held in Amman, Jordan, from November 16 to 18.

Four teams are participating in the tournament this year: Qatar, Palestine, Syria, and Jordan (the host).

The tournament is a good opportunity for the Qatari team to prepare for the Asian qualifiers for the 2025 Saudi Arabia Asian Cup, as Qatar will play their games in the tournament against the Syria on Saturday, November 16, then meet the Palestinia on Sunday, November 17, and conclude their games by meeting Jordan on Monday, November 18.

The team’s mission is scheduled to leave for Jordan on Friday.

The Qatari team’s technical staff included 12 players to participate in the tournament, including: Omar Mohamed Saad, Mustafa Fouda, Mahmoud Darwish, Khaled Rushdi, Babacar Dieng, Nadim Muslik, Mohamed Bashir, and Tyler James Lee Harris, Aladji Boubou Magassa, Ndaye Elhaj Sidou, Abdullah Yassin Musa, and Mustafa Ndaw.

The Qatari team’s delegation to the tournament is headed by Mr. Saadoun Sabah Al-Kuwari, Secretary General of the Qatar Basketball Association, in addition to members of the administrative and technical staff: Jassim Ashkanani, team manager, Nabil Juma, team administrator, in addition to the Turkish Hakan Demir (technical manager), Cengiz Kardag (assistant coach), Sonit Yetim (fitness coach), Gokteg Dalbazar (coach), Ihadji Abdo (assistant coach), Adel Khadir (therapist), Nicasio Sejaino (masseur), and Abdel Fattah (mission worker).
