Qatar SC get the better of Wakrah

JAMES Edward Justice Jr and Quinton Doggett top-scored with 30 and 28 points respectively to help Qatar Sports Club beat Al Wakrah 99-88 in the Qatar League at the Al Gharafa Indoor Hall last Sunday. 

It was Qatar SC’s fourth win in eight matches while Wakrah suffered their seventh defeat in the competition. 

“It was tough, but I’m happy we could collect full points. We want to continue with our good show,” said Qatar SC assistant coach Ahmad Fawzy. 

For Wakrah, Olatokunbo Ayeni and Larry Thomas Blair II netted 30 points each, with the former also contributing 11 rebounds and three assists. 

Meanwhile, Mohammed Harat scored 30 points and made 15 rebounds to guide Al Shamal to a 74-69 win over Al Ahli. He was well supported by Johnson Tyrone Kevin, who chipped in with 25. 

For Al Ahli, Branko Ereminov netted 23 points and Seydou Ndoye Elhadj 19.  

In another match, Al Arabi defeated Al Khor 78-54.
