Morant’s triple-double powers Grizzlies past Bucks; Rockets edge Mavericks

Ja Morant’s 12th career triple-double lifted the Memphis Grizzlies to a dominant 122-99 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. Morant’s 26-point, 10-rebound, 14-assist performance led Memphis, which rebounded from a loss to the Brooklyn Nets. “I just came out being aggressive, took what the defense gave me,” Morant said. Seven Grizzlies scored in double figures, helping to build a 70-48 halftime lead that Milwaukee couldn’t overcome.

Despite 37 points and 11 rebounds from Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks struggled as Damian Lillard managed only four points on 1-of-12 shooting, marking Milwaukee’s fourth consecutive loss.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets snapped a losing trend against the Dallas Mavericks, holding on for a 108-102 win. Jalen Green scored 23 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, while Dillon Brooks and Alperen Sengun each added 17. Luka Doncic posted 29 points for Dallas, including 15 in a spirited final period.

Elsewhere, Victor Wembanyama shone for San Antonio in a 106-88 win over Utah, recording his second career “5×5” game with 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five steals, and five blocks. The Phoenix Suns also rallied late to overcome a 21-point deficit, defeating the Clippers 125-119 behind Devin Booker’s 40 points.
