Kuwait SC defeat Kazma 99-95 in OT at WASL Final 8 2024

DOHA: Kuwait SC emerge victorious in the second game of Group B of the FIBA West Asian Basketball Super League (WASL) Final 8 2024 after defeating Kazma 99-95 in overtime.
This edition of the tournament, being hosted by Doha for the first time, will conclude on June 1.
With this win, Kuwait SC now leads the group standings with four points, tying with the Iranian team Shahrdary Gorgan who defeated Indian team Tamil Nadu 104-91 in the second game of their group.
Kazma are third with two points, alongside Tamil Nadu team.
In Group A, Lebanese team C.S. Sagesse defeated the reigning champions Manama with a score of (95-82) in the first match of the group.
This second edition of the tournament features the participation of eight teams, divided into two groups. The first group consists of Lebanese Al Riyadi, Bahraini Manama, Lebanese C.S. Sagesse, and Kazakhstan BC Astana from Central Asia.
The second group includes Kuwait SC from Kuwait, Kazma from Kuwait, Shahrdary Gorgan from Iran, and Tamil Nadu from India.
The tournament continues today with two matches. First, Astana from Kazakhstan will face Manama from Bahrain at 6:00 pm, followed by the “Beirut Derby” between C.S. Sagesse and Al Riyadi at 9:00 pm.
