Gulf Games 2026: Qatar women’s 3×3 basketball team qualify for semis

DOHA: Qatar women’s national 3×3 basketball team qualified for the semi-finals of the women’s 3×3 basketball competition at the fourth Gulf Games Doha 2026.

The event is being hosted in Doha until May 22, with the participation of 1,400 athletes representing six Gulf countries across 17 different sports.

The Qatari team secured qualification after delivering an impressive performance to top Group A with four points, following victories over Oman 15-10 in the opening round and Kuwait 14-13 in the second round. The group also saw Kuwait defeat Oman 13-12.

Qatar will face Saudi Arabia, runners-up of Group B, in the semi-finals tomorrow, while the second semi-final will feature Bahrain, winners of Group B, against Kuwait, runners-up of Group A. The winners will then meet in the final.
