FIBA 3×3 U21 Nations League: Qatar’s Youth and Women’s teams begin campaign

DOHA: Qatar’s U21 men’s and women’s national teams in basketball 3×3 will launch their campaign on Monday, July 6, 2026, in the opening round of the FIBA 3×3 U21 Nations League 2026 – Asia-1, hosted in Tangshan, People’s Republic of China, from July 6 to 8.

The tournament features elite Asian teams and represents a key continental stop within FIBA’s youth development program.

The participation of the Qatari teams comes as part of the Qatar Basketball Federation’s strategy to prepare a generation capable of competing at continental and international levels, through exposure to diverse Asian schools of play and gaining valuable technical experience in one of the region’s premier 3×3 competitions.

This league holds particular importance as one of the qualifying stages for the FIBA U21 3×3 World Cup, scheduled in Wuhan, China, from September 15 to 19, 2026. Results across the league’s rounds will play a decisive role in determining qualifiers, while also contributing to improving international rankings and opening pathways to higher-tier FIBA events in the future.
