Clippers edge Warriors, Lillard returns with a game-winner for Bucks

The Los Angeles Clippers withstood a late charge to defeat the Golden State Warriors 102-99 in a tense NBA clash on Monday. Norman Powell led the Clippers with 23 points, including five three-pointers, as they improved to 8-7 for the season and handed the Western Conference leaders a rare loss.
The Clippers built a 15-point lead late in the second quarter, but the Warriors clawed back, narrowing the deficit to three points by the end of the third. Golden State had a chance to force overtime, but Gary Payton II’s three-point attempt at the buzzer missed.
Stephen Curry topped the Warriors’ scoring with 26 points, while Andrew Wiggins added 22. Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue praised his team’s composure. “I told them, ‘They’re the number one team in the West for a reason—but we’re still up by three, at home,’” Lue said. “I’m proud of the team for keeping their composure and getting the win.”
In Milwaukee, Damian Lillard made a dramatic return from a concussion, sinking a game-winning layup with 3.9 seconds remaining to secure a 101-100 win over the Houston Rockets. Brook Lopez scored 27 for the Bucks, while Giannis Antetokounmpo added 20.
Meanwhile, Franz Wagner scored 32 points as the Orlando Magic topped the Phoenix Suns 109-99.
