Brunson Leads Knicks to Thrilling Comeback Win Over Rockets

NEW YORK: Jalen Brunson delivered a spectacular performance Monday night, scoring 11 of the New York Knicks’ final 13 points to secure a 124-118 comeback victory against the visiting Houston Rockets.
Brunson finished with 42 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds, marking the first 40-point, 10-assist game of his career. He became the first Knicks player to achieve such a feat since Trey Burke recorded 42 points and 12 assists in 2018.
Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns each contributed 22 points, while Josh Hart added 19 as the Knicks closed out their homestand with a 4-1 record. The team dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring the Rockets 46-29 while shooting an impressive 62.5 percent from the field.
The victory came despite the absence of OG Anunoby, who missed his first game of the season due to a right foot sprain.
Amen Thompson stood out for the Rockets with a triple-double, tallying 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. It was his second triple-double of the season and the third of his career. However, the Rockets struggled to maintain their fourth-quarter lead and dropped their third straight game.
